GW Equal Opportunity Policy Victory!
We're pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees of The George Washington University has voted to amend the Equal Employment Opportunity Policy to include "gender identity or expression." Previously, the
policy stated that the "University does not unlawfully discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation."
The policy covers all programs, services, policies, and procedures of the University, including admissions to educational programs and employment.
This is a big win for LGBT and allied students, faculty, and staff on campus who have lobbied the board intensely for years on this issue.
