ELECTIONS (PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT TO BE ON NEXT YEAR'S BOARD)
If you are interested in getting more involved in GW Lambda Law, serving on the Executive Board is one of the best ways to give back (and also looks great on a resume)! If you are interested, please email lambda@law.gwu.edu with a blurb about why you would be a good [Co-president, Secretary, Treasurer, VP of Political Affairs and/or VP of Social Affairs] by THURSDAY, MARCH 11. Your statement should express your interest in that position (you can run for several, if you'd like). Feel free to be creative, but know that we'll send out what you write to members who will be voting.
The actual voting will occur on TWEN from March 11-14. Get your voting pants on!
Class registration
Class registration is rapidly approaching (March 15 & 16 for 2L day and evening and 3L evening, and March 18 for 1L). For some of us, this will be the first opportunity to take a law school elective and it is both thrilling and terrifying at the same time. We encourage you to take full advantage of your mentors for advice on classes, professors, exams, etc. Should you not have a mentor, please feel free to send your questions to lambda@law.gwu.edu.

As you all know by now, the District of Columbia now allows same-sex couples to tie the knot. Council member David Catania, the lead sponsor of the legislation, has created an informational page explaining how you and your loved one can get married in the District. Click here to read more.
